Dan Mallin is a successful entrepreneur who has co-founded, led, and sold multiple firms. Imaginet acquired by 3M/Imation in 1997. 18 months later, Mallin reacquired Imaginet which later was acquired by the WPP in 2000. Mallin also founded Spot Buy Spot and sold to Comcast. 2008 Mallin founded Magnet 360 which sold to Mindtree.
Mallin is the founder of Lucy. Lucy uses AI to find answers in a corporations documents and enable knowledge workers to do their jobs better and faster.
At the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, from 2002 to 2010, Mallin was a board member of the Carlson Brand Enterprise, and also an Entrepreneur in Residence since 2005.
In 2005, Mallin was asked to become involved in the Minnesota Military Appreciation Fund in support of veterans’ families. The fund has awarded $11 million in grants to more than 17,000 recipients.
In 2005, Mallin co-founded what has become the largest statewide new venture competition in the country: the MN Cup. 16,000 participants, given away $3.5 million in cash prizes, to companies that have raised $400 million.
Today he helps a select group of companies leverage EOS for strategic advantage.
