My career began in IT Consulting. After 10 years in and around Corporate America, I decided to pursue my dream of starting my own business. In doing so, I created one of the first luxury travel companies to sell online. We had cutting edge products, an awesome website, and a great vision. Things were flying from the start. For the first 7 years or so, we had virtually no competition in our niche. Life was good. Then we got complacent. We relied on our earlier successes and organic growth. We stopped innovating, lost our vigor and found ourselves constantly in react mode playing defense. Ultimately, we flatlined.
We eventually crossed paths with EOS. And wow, what an eye opener! EOS shined a light on our people issues; taught us to focus, and inspired us to once again to redefine our vision. Having run a business for 15+ years and now an EOS coach, I realize hitting the ceiling is inevitable for just about any business. The key is to recognize it, before or during, and put in the structure to break through it.
