I started out in business as a dishwasher in a local Chinese restaurant. Working in restaurants, I put myself through high school and college. By the time I was 24, I was general manager of my own store. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with many types of organizations, some better than others and I found that really enjoyed the companies that were more entrepreneurial.
Over the years, I had a knack for turning around underperforming businesses. It was pretty common that I would be sent to a restaurant that was failing in as many ways as you could think and 6 months later I was able to right the ship and have it running on all cylinders.
About 7 years ago, the company that my wife working at began implementing EOS. She handed me Traction and I wasn’t through the 1st chapter, and I realized I was doing it all wrong. I started to use some of the tools and at the same time, I began the process to pivot to fulltime implementer.
