Jonathan is the CEO and Visionary of Ulrich Lifestyle Structures, which started as a family business focused on providing families with the structure that allows them to live their dreams.

After working in the family business from a young age in various roles, Jonathan decided to run his business on EOS®. Despite being competent in some Integrator tasks, he realized it wasn’t his true passion or strength. He needed to find the right Integrator for his business.

His first hire was more aligned with his personality than with the needs of the business; this partnership left too many gaps. So, he continued to search for someone who could complement his strengths.

That’s when he met George Bobbitt Sr., a seasoned Integrator with a knack for the tasks he disliked.

George joined Ulrich Lifestyle Structures in February of this year as president, chief operating officer, and Integrator. Previously, he served as an Integrator and COO for CMIT Solutions, Inc., and spent nine years in the defense and national intelligence industry before becoming an Integrator.

From the first conversation, it was clear that George’s passion for the tasks Jonathan didn’t enjoy and his respect for Jonathan’s role made them a perfect fit.

“The easiest, most simple way I can tell you is it seemed that, ironically, he loved doing all the things I don’t like doing and respected and looked to the Visionary to do the things that I do love doing right.” — Jonathan Ulrich [05:14]

With George on board, they quickly tackled challenges such as revenue conversion and ensuring the right people were in the right seats. Through effective communication and a shared commitment to EOS, they are driving positive change and seeing exciting results.

Within the EOS Toolbox™, the Crystallizer Assessment® creates a solid foundation for the roles of Visionary and Integrator – as well as sets up a way to communicate how you and your partner fit into either side of the equation. The 5 Rules and 5 Tools™ build on that foundation, focusing on staying on the same page as the key to success in the partnership.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur or a business leader seeking to optimize your teams, this episode of Rocket Fuel shares valuable insights into finding the right Integrator and creating a successful partnership that fuels your business growth.

About The Rocket Fuel Podcast

Every outstanding entrepreneurial business has a common element that launched it to success.

It has a Visionary who sees the big picture, envisions the future, and lives for challenge and risk. It also has an Integrator™, who works behind the scenes executing the business plan and doing the backbreaking work of making the Visionary’s dreams a reality.

On their own, these two types of leaders have potential, but together they form an essential relationship that propels their business to new heights – we call that Rocket Fuel™.

Join real and raw conversations with the world’s top entrepreneurial duos as they talk about their journey to getting more of what they want from their business. Hosted by Mark C. Winters, Visionary and co-author of Rocket Fuel.
