How to Get to the Root of Any Issue

How do you deal with workplace conflict? Do you sweep it under the rug? Openly discuss it?

1.  How to Make a Good Team Great. One of the toughest obstacles for a leadership team of a company to overcome is “vulnerability-based trust” where it’s safe to have conflict and take risks rather than fear them. It’s human nature to avoid uncomfortable or risky situations, but when you push past it trust can begin to grow and you can transform your good team into a great team.

2.  When we duct tape our issues, eventually they all implode on us. This article will show you an approach to solve the root cause of your issues.

When I work with my clients to implement EOS, we regularly practice problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with something called IDS (Identify, Discuss, Solve). We get to the root of the issue while staying open, honest, and vulnerable with ourselves and our team.

The next time you’re faced with a sticky situation or tough problem, remember to stay open, honest and vulnerable and then use a simple phrase like this to help you move toward a solution.

You can take advantage of a new EOS program called Lead Now, which offers free EOS® IDS™ Sessions and content to help you lead with calm, clarity, and confidence. Or, reach out to me directly and I’ll lead your team through two hours of IDS so you can see how this process can strengthen your business.
