The Power of Alignment

EOS helps people get more of what they want from their business. EOS is a complete system with simple tools to help them do three things we call Vision, Traction and Healthy.

Vision means first getting your leaders 100% on the same page with where your company is going and how it is going to get there. Traction means helping your leaders become more disciplined and accountable, executing really well to achieve every part of your vision. Healthy means helping your leaders become a healthy, functional, cohesive leadership team.

Underlying those three outcomes is the principle of alignment. Everybody has to be rowing in the same direction in order for any company to maximize its results.

There is a scene in the movie NEMO which is a great visual for alignment. It is near the end of the movie where Dory is captured in the net of a commercial fishing trawler. Nemo realizes that if all the fish swim down together and keep swimming they can save Dory. Together they are more powerful than the fishing trawler.

If you have never seen it or can’t remember it, here is a three minute clip. If you can’t see it below, then you can find it here on YouTube. A hat tip to Greg Cleary, a certified EOS Implementer in Minneapolis, who shared this with us at our last Quarterly Collaborative Event.
