Today I want to talk about not taking growth for granted.
Since I became Visionary at EOS Worldwide, we’ve gone from a $9 million business to one that will close this year at around $37 million in revenue.
That’s a pretty good amount of growth and something we’re proud of.
But not all growth is created equal.
Somewhere along the way, we lost focus on the part of the business that mattered most.
We built software, did end user workshops, and held great EOS events. All those things were valuable.
But our core business is EOS Implementers.
And while the company continued to grow, our core business didn’t. Implementer growth flatlined, and we’ve felt the effects of that over the last few years.
It brought me back to something I’ve believed for a long time:
What you focus on grows.
And the problem is, focus is finite.
Every new opportunity gets some share of your attention. And sometimes, without realizing it, that attention comes from the thing that matters most.
We take our Core Values seriously at EOS Worldwide, and my personal favorite is Grow or Die.
But this experience has reminded me that it’s not just about growth. It’s about making sure we’re focused on the right growth.
I don’t want us to lose sight of that again.
So, here’s the question I’m asking myself now:
Are we protecting the core?
What kind of growth matters most in your business right now—and is that where your focus is going?
Every Saturday, I share my personal thoughts, practical frameworks, and lessons learned from leading EOS Worldwide.
